We are thrilled to announce that our General Counsel, Tina Di Camillo, has been named the winner of the Urban Leader Legal Award 2025, presented by The Urban Developer!
This marks Tina’s second consecutive year as a finalist, and this year she has been recognised for her groundbreaking leadership in Australia’s first tertiary pathways in strata and owners corporation management in partnership with Deakin University. Tina Di Camillo’s innovation redefines professional development and tertiary education in the strata and property law sector by addressing a long-standing industry gap through education as well as advocacy.
Through this initiative, Tina has joined the Deakin Property and Real Estate (PRE) Industry Advisory Board and also established two academic scholarships, the Network Pacific Law Scholarship and the Network Pacific Property and Real Estate Scholarship – opening new doors for future legal and property professionals.
Tina’s impact extends across the industry. She has convened major conferences addressing building defects, governance, and regulatory reform, bringing together academics, regulators, lawyers, and industry leaders to drive meaningful change and lift national standards. Tina has championed knowledge-sharing through high-level industry conferences. On 28 November 2024, she led the “Shaping the Future of Owners Corporations” conference, bringing together regulators, lawyers, and OC professionals to explore new laws, governance reform, and the future of strata management. On 22 July 2025, she co-hosted the “From Defects to Solutions” Strata Symposium with Deakin Business School, engaging more than 150 stakeholders in developing practical responses to Australia’s building defect crisis through interactive roundtables and expert panels.
What makes Tina’s approach truly innovative is its holistic vision. She reframes workforce and compliance challenges as educational opportunities, uniting academia, the private sector, and government to build a long-term pipeline of qualified, ethically grounded professionals. Her initiatives raise consumer protections, improve legal literacy, and professionalise strata management as a credible career path.
Her work embodies integrity, foresight, and innovation, advancing a profession that plays a vital role in shaping Australia’s built environment.
👏 Congratulations, Tina, on this outstanding and well-deserved recognition!
